Then, in her teenage years, she participated in a wrestling team at her high school and then performed for several girl groups.



Wyatt’s solo record deal resulted from the song’s success, and she launched her first album, “Soul Sista,” on MCA Records on November 13, 2001. The album was certified gold and peaked at #33 on the “Billboard” 200 chart and #5 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The song “Nothing in This World,” which she collaborated with Avant once more, peaked at #4 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, #3 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, and #27 on the “Billboard” Hot 100 chart. 

The album “Emotional Rollercoaster,” which Wyatt recorded after leaving MCA to work for Cash Money Records / Universal Motown Records, was shelved when the lead single, “Put Your Hands on Me,” failed to chart or receive enough radio airplay. In 2006, Wyatt’s contract with Cash Money Records was terminated, and the following year, she signed with TVT Records.

After the massive “attack” she received after her blunt comments, she added, “I felt attacked, but of course, everything isn’t always shown as it should be, but that’s okay. At the end of the day, I represented myself, my people, my culture, my God, and my family in a horrible manner. I know better.”
