In this article, we’ll break down the list of the best Overwatch players. Keep in mind this is a global list, and it will be biased towards those who play on PC as that is the only platform the game has been released on so far. There’s also a focus here on considering pros, not casual or ranked players, since everyone has a different idea of how good someone is.

1. Pongphop “Mickie” Rattanasangchod (Thailand)

At the age of 18, Mickie is currently the youngest player in Overwatch Players professional scene and has only been playing since July 2016. Despite this, though, he has quickly risen up the ranks to be one of the best flex players in the world. He began his career by joining one of Thailand’s top teams, Signature Gaming, with who he stayed until they disbanded following their failure to qualify for Contenders Season South East Asia.

2. Joona “Sergeant” Laine (Finland)

Currently playing for Team Gigantti, Sergeant is a main tank player who has been in the scene since early closed beta. Even is considered one of the most consistent players in the game and has a very high win rate on many heroes. His experience and skills have made him one of the best main tank players in the world, and he recently was at the center of attention when his superpower desk segment went viral on Reddit after getting interviewed by Christopher “MonteCristo” Mykles. 3. Jae-Hyeok “Carpe” Lee (South Korea)

Currently playing for FaZe Clan, Carpe is the star DPS player on the team and has been one of the best in his role in APEX since season 3. Before joining FaZe, he played for Korean teams, including MVP Space and 6nakes, who eventually became Laser Kittenz after signing with a British organization. Even he was also part of the South Korean national team at the 2017 World Cup.

4. Se-Yeon “Geguri” Kim (South Korea)

Geguri is a main tank player for ROX Orcas and the first female professional Overwatch players. She started her competitive career in early closed beta, was signed by ROX Orcas in February 2016, and is considered one of the best main tank players in the world. 

5. Jiri “LiNkzr” Masalin (Finland)

Linkzr is a DPS player for Team Liquid who has been playing since early closed beta. He is known for his Widowmaker and McCree to play and is considered one of the best in the world at both characters. He also is a member of the Finnish national team, which participated in the 2017 World Cup. 

6. Terence “SoOn” Tarlier (France)

SoOn is currently playing for Immortals, where he is considered to be one of their star Overwatch players. Before joining them, he played on Rogue who was known as the best team in the world during 2016 and who managed to win APAC Premier 2016 and Dreamhack Winter 2016. He’s also a member of the French national team that participated in the 2017 World Cup and finished as runner-up after losing 4-1 against South Korea.


How Do Overwatch Players Earns?
